1. The torque converter consists of a pump wheel, a turbine, a guide wheel and a torsion damper (turbo torsion damper or dual damper system). The pump wheel is directly connected to the engine and the turbine is connected to the input shaft of the automatic transmission. The torque converter output shaft is the turbine and transmission input shaft connected via splines. The pilot wheel is connected to the oil pump shaft by means of a spline in the freewheel and is able to hold the pilot wheel in one direction.
2. The torque converter is a mechanical transmission device that transmits engine speed and torque to the output shaft through a fluid to enable the vehicle to move. The torque converter consists of three main components: the torque converter, the lock-up clutch, and the hydraulic control system.
